Meet Your Virtual Crew

Want to learn to fly, but don’t know many girls your age who are doing it too? We know how you feel!

Sierra-Tango Sisters was created to help us find one another and create a supportive community. When you join, you become part of a Virtual Crew - a group of girls who are curious about aviation, learning to fly, or already working toward their pilot goals.

You don’t need flight experience. You don’t even need to know where to start, we will help you with that!

what’s a crew?

You Crew is your aviation friend group!

Crews bring girls together from across the country who share an interest in flying.

Crews are made up of girls who are dreaming of flying, those that have already taken a discovery flight, or girls that are already flying.

Your Crew is led by a Sierra-Tango Sisters Captain-a female student pilot or new pilot who has already experienced many of the same questions and milestones you are facing.

A Captain is the girl a few steps ahead of you who can help you find your way!

    Never been in a small airplane? That’s completely okay.

  • MEET YOUR CAPTAIN

    We’ll introduce you to your Sierra-Tango Captain and welcome you to your Crew.

    Your Captain can share what she has learned along the way, point you toward helpful resources and opportunities, and help answer the kinds of questions that come up when you’re figuring out how to become a pilot.

  • JOIN US ONLINE

    Every month, Sierra-Tango Sisters meets virtually.

    Meet other girls who love aviation, hear from pilots, learn something new, ask questions, and talk about what everyone is working toward.

    One month we might talk about discovery flights. Another might be scholarships, first solos, aviation careers, flight training, or what it’s actually like to learn to fly.

    Come when you can. No pressure.

  • START FLYING

    As you move through your own Flight Path, Sierra-Tango moves with you.

    Discovery flight.

    First lesson.

    Ground school.

    First solo.

    Checkride.

    And someday, you may become the Captain helping the next girl get started.
