OUR PROGRAM
Sierra-Tango Sisters is a peer mentorship program that connects girls in aviation through zoom calls and online mentoring! We create a supportive community from first interest in flying through the student pilot stage of their aviation journey.
Every month, Sierra-Tango Sisters meets virtually. Join from anywhere. Our calls help you:
Meet other girls who love aviation, hear from pilots and aviation professionals, learn something new, ask questions, and talk about what everyone is working toward.
One month we might talk about discovery flights.
Another might be scholarships, first solos, aviation careers, flight training, or what it’s actually like to learn to fly.
Come when you can. No pressure. Email updates will summarize our zoom meet ups and answer questions.

How it Works
CREWS
Girls who join Sierra-Tango Sisters are placed into a crew—a group of girls who share a passion for aviation and are just as excited about flying as you!
Each Crew is led by a young female student pilot who is or has recently been in your shoes. Crew leaders, or captains, provide encouragement, answer questions, share their experiences, and help members stay motivated throughout their aviation journey. Their mentees are called cadets.
Throughout the year, Captains check in with their cadets regularly, answering questions and sharing information. Think of your crew as your aviation friend group!
CAPTAINS
Captains are Mentors who have been approved by Sierra-Tango Sisters to help younger girls (cadets) navigate their aviation journeys.
Captains meet monthly with their cadets on Zoom and answer emails.
Captains spend a year (or more!) helping their crew grow while also recruiting any new cadets and captains that find their way to our online community!
CADETS
Cadets are mentees guided by mentors, or captains. A parent email is required for involvement in the program.
Whether you are just starting to explore aviation or if you are actively working towards your certificate, we would love to have you aboard!
